creative content director and editor

Diana’s credentials as a media strategist – working as easily with broadcast network producers as with bloggers and social influencers – are rivaled only by her accomplishments as a consumer brand-builder and specialist in health-and-wellness public relations.

In addition to her media-strategy work with Captivate and its partner agency, FoleyFreisleben LLC, Diana is the principal of her own consultancy, DSM Media Relations. She brings to Captivate her expertise and perspective implementing public relations programs on behalf of physicians and other practitioners, healthcare facilities, and medical-device manufacturers. Previously, she was partner and media relations director of Smith Communications and earlier held executive positions in the Los Angeles offices of two national public relations agencies.

Jerry Freisleben

philosophy-bracket.png

co-founder

Jerry is a rarity (his colleagues and friends would say in more ways than one!): a fourth-generation Californian and Angeleno who enjoys continually discovering new facets of his home state and city. With more than two decades as a communications counselor – since 1996 as president and co-founder of FoleyFreisleben LLC (FolFry) -- he has implemented corporate and financial relations and B2B-marketing programs, with particular expertise in issues and reputation management matters, for a respected roster of corporate, institutional and nonprofit clients.

In conceiving and co-founding, Captivate, a partner agency of FolFry, Jerry’s objective is to more seamlessly integrate the corporate and marketing public relations functions. It returns him, as well, to the roots of his career in consumer public relations, implementing branding campaigns for clients such as Pepsi, Chrysler and Burger King, as well as destination and travel programs for Singapore, Republic of Ireland and LVMH Moet Hennessy.

Jerry earned his bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature at the University of California, Berkeley, where he had the honor of delivering the commencement address to his graduating class. In his spare time, Jerry is an avid college basketball fan and admirer of Midcentury Modern architecture and design. He enjoys tennis, snow skiing and hiking, as well as quality time reading on any beach. His favorite destination, to riff legendary restaurateur Danny Meyer, is anywhere in the world… as long as it’s Italy.
